Dick’s Sports Matter Campaign: “Harlem Lacrosse” Commercial
The Dick’s Sporting Goods Foundation showcases three players on the Harlem Lacrosse team to demonstrate the importance of saving youth sports programs.
Script
Dyjae, 15: “I live in Polo Grounds (Tower) in Harlem. We hear gun shots every night.”
Tyler, 15: “I lost my Mom this year, January. I lost my Dad when I was 12.”
Jordany, 14: “This makes you think how lucky I am to have Harlem Lacrosse to save me.”
Dyjae: “Me and my team, we all go through problems. But when we go on the field, we all forget that.”
Jordany: “I started realizing all of the opportunities that Harlem Lacrosse gave me.”
Tyler: “They want us to make it into college and do something with our life.”
Coach: “If we remember who we are and where we come from, we are going to win this game.”
Dyjae: “(Lacrosse) became like a getaway for me. When I am on the field, I just worry about lacrosse.”
Jordany: “What am I going to do when I grow up? I don’t know. There are so many things that I could be.”
