Apple’s “Frankie’s Holiday” Commercial

Apple’s two minute holiday ad promotes tolerance and inclusiveness, as an initially frightened community embraces a Frankenstein-like character. Apples’s “Frankie’s Holiday” played both on television and in movie theaters.

(A darkly-lit, Frankenstein-like character uses his Apple iPhone to record a music box playing There’s No Place Like Home for the Holidays. He then leaves the isolation of his remote home to try to join in holiday celebrations with the community.)

‘Frankenstein’ sings: “Oh, there’s no place like home for the holidays, cause <pause>.”

Little Girl and Frankenstein: ” ’cause no matter how far away you roam…”

Whole Community: “…when you pine for the sunshine of a friendly gaze, for the holidays you can’t beat home sweet home.”
